Patrick Remy started writing about photography in 1992, and has written several books since then. Not only does he write, he is an esteemed consultant, publisher and editor of luxury art and photography books for brands and organisations. Patrick Remy teaches at ECAL in Lausanne, Switzerland. He created the book series Fashion Images de Mode, the Fashion-Photography Annual, Strip/Paradise/Desire/Sensation and The Art of Fashion Photography (Prestel), as well as being a regular contributor to a plethora of magazines such as Vogue Paris, Mixte, Paradis, l'Œil, Journal des Arts, Beaux-Arts, L'Officiel, L'Évènement du jeudi, Camera International, 7 à Paris, Artpress, Jalouse USA, Black+White Composite, Studio Voice. Numéro and AD.
In 1999, Patrick founded the Patrick Remy STUDIO for publishing and advising. He holds full management of a publishing company on the french market, in which he deals with the challenges of how to communicate with photography, and under which form, thus advising clients upon the best ways to utilize visual stimuli. Patrick has published several monographs for significant photographers including Daido Moriyama, Massimo Vitalli, Jonas Mekas, Valérie Belin, Koto Bolofo, Guido Mocafico and more. He has done consultant work for numerous brands such as Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Chanel parfums, Gucci group, YSL, Kenzo cosmetics. Le Printemps, Miashvili, etc. and for magazines such as Numéro, L'Officiel and Paradis.
Patrick is also responsible for having organised several influential exhibitions on fashion photography in major cities such as Miami, Tokyo and Melbourne to name a few.
